Miquel was an absolute pleasure to capture! She is a senior this year and I was so honored that she chose me to take her senior portraits. This girl has some serious style and is beyond beautiful! I can honestly say seniors are an absolute joy to take pictures of. There is such a fresh and energetic feel about these young adults. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this little miracle. Baby J was such a great poser. He stayed asleep almost the entire session and he was so patient with me and all my poses. I wasn't in their home more then a minute before I could feel how much he meant to them. What a gift he is!! He is just a tad bit adorable as well. This first image is one of my all time favorite newborn portraits ever! His nursery is all owls so it was a perfect fit.

...and this is my 2nd favorite image of all time. I love baby feet and the fact that he was being held perfectly to allow for the softened face and body makes my photographer heart absolutely overflow with giddyness!

This brother and sister pair only had one concern when scheduling their photo-session. Was it at all possible to make them appear as brother and sister and not a couple? Oh I love a great challenge. The planning of this session was so much fun. And when we met up it came together perfectly. Plenty of jokes were made about being an engaged couple and we even played around with some cheesy 80's poses. All in all I think we captured their brother and sister relationship pretty accurately. I mean check out this first shot. That is just pure JOY.

Was so thrilled to photograph this gorgeous family. They were such great sports. The morning we scheduled their session the temperature was in the 30's and the windchill was in the 20's. I really am surprised you can't see their goosebumps:). Thanks so much W Family...it was a pleasure!

My poor blog has been so neglected since Christmas. My goal in 2011 is to treat this as an actual recent work blog and document the excitement going on with Amy Pennington Photo. The day of this shoot I was out hunting for locations when I quite literally stumbled onto this sea of Indian Paintbrushes. They went for acres just blowing in the breeze. Absolutely breathtaking to see in person. As I saw this location for the very first time a vision of Julie twirling in this field came to my mind. I immediately called her and asked her if I could take her there for her birthday gift. Come to find out she had always dreamed of a photo-shoot like what I was explaining. Within minutes the divine details were worked out(even down to the fact that she had just gotten finished getting her hair done) and we were on our way to capture a once in a lifetime moment. God knew the desires of her heart and He orchestrated this whole thing and used me and my camera to make her dreams come true. I love the pure beauty in these images!

Don and Darlene were one of THE most fun sessions I have shot in a long time. You would never be able to tell from these pictures that they had never done this before. These two have such a love for the Lord and lead people into His throne room each week as praise n worship leaders.
